Welcome to the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, a private members club home to some of Australia's most notable sailing heritage since 1862. A haven for sailors and non-sailors alike, the Squadron is one of the country's most esteemed yacht clubs offering world-class experiences across sailing, dining, accommodation and events. The Academy's mission is to support Members throughout their sailing journeys and to promote the sport of sailing more widely. From leading the first three Australian challenges for the America's Cup to the inaugural Admiral’s Cup challenge and the first Australian Olympic Gold medal, our Members have helped earn RSYS a reputation for producing world-class sailors.


The Club's esteemed sailing program continues to foster this legacy offering a mix of weekly race series and highly competitive national and international events. Our RSYS Sailing Academy also provides comprehensive performance programs and discover sailing courses for sailors of all abilities.
