RSYS Season Briefing

RSYS Season Briefing

Compulsory Skippers Briefing
The RSYS Sailing Office holds an annual skipper  briefing before each season. The briefing covers important safety information and changes to racing from last season.

The skippers briefing is compulsory for all owners and skippers as part of their entry compliance for all RSYS Club Racing.

If you were unable to attend the briefing, please contact the Sailing Office and let them know. You will be sent the information required to validate your season entry.

Vessel Compliance Responsibility

Vessel Compliance Responsibility

It is the responsibility of each vessel to ensure they continue to comply in every respect with the category the boat is competing in.

The Organising Authority, the Club or the Equipment Auditors will not perform ongoing checks or confirm compliance. The responsibility remains with the vessel – the audit only verifies that the equipment is on board at the time of the inspection.

Vessels should refer to the Australian Sailing Special regulations and ensure that all equipment remains on the boat, is kept in good working order and that equipment is replaced or repaired as necessary.

Equipment Audits

Equipment Audits

Annual equipment audits on the three weekends before the new season. These weekends are open to Member and non-member vessels and are conducted by our team of volunteer Australian Sailing Accredited Auditors.

If you require an equipment audit outside of the schedule weekends, please contact the RSYS Sailing Office.
