The Hardy Shield, an open match racing regatta in honour of the late Sir James Hardy, took place last Sunday and was hotly contested between the 5 RSYS teams competing.

The round robin saw close racing and tight boat handling, and ended with Zac West leading on 4 wins, followed by Massimo Henderson on 3 wins.

James Hayhoe and Jameson Prescott contested the petit-finals, with Hayhoe ultimately securing 3rd place. West, with crew Zach Quinlan, Aiden Mansley and Emily Keg, also consolidated his lead and won the first-to-one finals series against Henderson.

Well done to all those who competed on the day and thanks to the RO, Xavier McLachlan, as well as the umpires, Erica Kirby, Simon Barrington and Karyn Gojnich for their support.
