Hardy Cup U23 International Match Racing Regatta 2025


The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron will host the annual Hardy Cup International Match Racing Regatta from Monday 17 - Thursday 20 February.

Participants will be joining us on Sunday 16th February for a practice session and welcome function in the CCA. Racing will commence on Monday 17th, with finals on Thursday 20th February followed by the presentation of the Hardy Cup.

This regatta is held in honour of the late Sir James Hardy OBE to celebrate his remarkable sailing achievements and his role in developing pathways for youth sailors. Since its inception in 2001, the Hardy Cup has maintained its status as a World Sailing Youth Grade 3 International regatta.

We are delighted to be welcoming teams from:
  • Royal New Zealand Yacht Club, NZ
  • Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, AUS
  • Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, AUS
  • Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, AUS
  • Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, AUS
  • Del Rey Yacht Club, USA

Racing will be held directly in front of the RSYS Clubhouse and Members are invited to enjoy the racing from the CCA or to watch from their own vessels on the water.
