Dinghy Squad Presentation Evening

15 May 2023

The RSYS Dinghy Squad Presentation Evening was held on 12 May 2023. This event is the most anticipated social night of the season for sailors and families as we come together to celebrate the achievements of all youth sailors with many of them receiving coveted awards for the outstanding performance during the year.

The Evening began with our special guests Nick Van Kerkwjk, Lauren Tandy and Isabella Taylor presenting their experience at Lake Garda, Italy in April this year. Fellow sailors listened with eyes wide, excited to hear the answers to Commodore Christian Brook’s questions about this amazing experience representing RSYS at the 41st Easter Regatta amongst 1200 Optimists.

We welcomed our new Youth Members, bid farewell to our out-going Youth Captains James Hayhoe and Isobel Payne and welcomed our new Captain for 2023-24: Massimo Henderson.

The best way of course to finish this wonderful evening was with everyone’s favourite – the spectacular chocolate fountain.
