A Friday Twilight Convincing Win for Wine-Dark Sea

Peter Lowndes writes, ‘It seems the crew of Wine-Dark Sea found some solvent and managed to get Captain “Araldite” Pete off the helm. Apparently, banishing him back to the foredeck from-whence-he-came was a good idea.

Alistair Chase helmed Wine-Dark Sea around the new and improved Division 1 course in a perfect 10-12 knot Nor-easter for a convincing 3 minute win. This will surely attract the attention of the handicapper.

Wine-Dark Sea is taking a more relaxed approach to Friday twilights as they start to focus on offshore racing.’

Race 2, this Friday is predicted to be another great night for sailing.

We are very fortunate to have two sponsors this season:
  • Sail Racing are proving a prize up to the value of $400, drawn from boats that participate in the day's racing.
  • Meerea Park Wines are providing the prizes for place getters.

Last week’s Sail Racing prize went to Joanna Love, skipper of Love Child.
