5.2.2020 The pointscore series has recommenced after the Christmas break. A gentle ESE breeze of 9-15 knots greeted the 31 boats starting - and starting was a great feature of the evening's race.
Of the 18 boats that raced in the Ladies Mixed division, 14 boats started within 11 seconds or better of their allotted start time. The Queen of the Start award was shared between Penny Scardifield and her crew on board Cavatina and Joanna Love on Love Child, all pictured below, who started exactly on her start time for the second time this season.

Congratulations to our winners: Eve Shepherd and the crew on Trilogy in the Ladies non-spinnaker division; Elyse Guevara-Rattray in the Yngling Holly in the one design spinnaker division; and Chris Harper and the team on Crackerjack in the Open Division.
Captain Karyn Gojnich commented, 'It was wonderful to see the non-pointscore races that we held in January so well supported. Some crews took the opportunity to swap around roles on their boat whilst others practised their start line approaches and spinnaker handling.'
Next week will be the second race in the three race (no drop) Trophy Series.
Would you like to develop your sailing skills? our next Ladies of the Sea (LOTS) course starts on Wednesday 12 February.
