Tuesday Twilight and the Royal Visit on the Harbour!

Photo finish of Vivace, Allegro, and Trilogy, photographed from Lively

What an exciting Tuesday Twilight sail! The Royals’ visit turned Sydney Harbour into a lively spectacle, leaving us all wondering if the race could even start. Eventually, we sailed a 'shortened' shortened course (I didn’t even know that was possible!), but what a sight it was!

The harbour buzzed with helicopters flying Australian flags, jets roaring overhead, warships, police vessels, and the royal boat, creating a chaotic yet thrilling scene just as we set off. To add to the memorable day, Governor General Sam Mostyn AC even embarked on a vessel right before we hit the water!

Happy crew member Nikki Court, on Love Child

Meanwhile, a beaming Nikki Court from Love Child enjoyed the race with a spectacular backdrop of warships and spectator boats, all focused on the Royals.

In the midst of all this excitement, boats Vivace, Allegro, and Trilogy delivered an impressive finish—crossing within just 13 seconds of each other. A big thanks to Sophie Nelson from Lively for capturing the photo finish. A big thank you also to Joanna Love from Lovechild for your fabulous prize presentation.

Definitely a Twilight sail to remember!
