RSYS Dinghy Squad Presentation Evening

The RSYS Dinghy Squad Presentation Evening was held on Saturday 11 May 2024 with sailors and families coming together to celebrate the achievements of all our youth sailors, with many receiving coveted perpetual awards.

The evening began with our special guests RSYS Member Finn Alexander, Youth and Match Racing Champion and International ILCA Sailor. Finn was interviewed by Youth Members Bear Whitelaw and Lauren Tandy.

It was wonderful to hear about his experiences of youth sailing from the very young age of 5 through his teenage years, traveling the world whilst also completing his studies, to his current placement within the Australian Sailing Team. His inspiring words of wisdom ‘Take every opportunity that presents itself’ no doubt, will stay in the hearts of our youth sailors as they progress through their sailing journey.

We welcomed our new Youth Members, returning Dinghy Squad Captain Massimo Henderson and Fleet Representatives Bear Whitelaw and Jessica Ellis.
