'The Incredible Life of Captain Bligh'

Dr Nigel Erskine is the head of research at the Australian National Maritime Museum. He will describe the various  phases of Bligh's life from his early days sailing with Captain Cook, to the mutiny and open boat voyage, to his time as Governor of NSW.

We will show the small compass that he used to navigate in the open boat voyage, passed down through the family to Jackie Taylor's father, Lou Davidson.

Date: Wednesday 22 August
Time: 6pm for 6.20pm start 
Cost: There is no cost to attend the presentation, but please RSVP to assist with the setting up. Why not stay for dinner afterwards and continue the discussion with other cruising enthusiasts. 
We will meet in the Carabella Room. The Bar will open at 5.30pm for a drink beforehand. Dinner will be available in the CCA afterwards if you would like to continue the discussion with other cruising enthusiasts.
