Literary Luncheon 'The Unmourned'
We are delighted to welcome Tom and Meg Keneally, authors of the newly-published 'The Unmourned'.
Tom Keneally won the Booker Prize in 1982 with Schindler’s Ark, later made into the Steven Spielberg Academy Award-winning film Schindler’s List. His novels The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, Gossip from the Forest, and Confederates were all shortlisted for the Booker Prize, while Bring Larks and Heroes and Three Cheers for the Paraclete won the Miles Franklin Award.
Tom’s daughter Meg Keneally has worked as a reporter for The Daily Telegraph, Radio 2UE as a producer and more recently in corporate affairs for listed financial services companies.
Together they have co-written the 'Monsarrat' series which follows the adventures of Australia’s most memorable new super-sleuthing duo, Hugh Monsarrat and Mrs Mulrooney in convict era Australia.
Their second novel, The Unmourned, will be discussed by the Book Club on Wdnesday 26 April.
