Saturday Racing 1 April

The last race of the Summer sailing season was held on Saturday 1 April.  It was another successful day on the Harbour for the Squadron boats who competed. As well as the regular Saturday series races for divisions 1-3 and theYngling fleet, we held the Mini A Regatta for the Dragon and Etchells fleets. The winner of the Etchells Eaton Cup was ‘Northern Havoc’ skippered by Michael Coxon & Iain Murray. Congratulations!

The average temperature for the day was a pleasant mid to low 20c with the sun shining. The wind however never really made up its mind, wind directions of NW, W, SW, E, SE and S all making appearances throughout the day. Competitors were certainly kept on their toes!
